You can check your Feature status by clicking on the ‘Feature Me’ button at the top. Once your mandatory details have been scrutinized by us for completeness and correctness, your profile will get automatically featured.

I got myself ‘Featured’ recently but I did not get the response I was hoping for. When will I get Featured again?
A previously Featured profile can get repeated only after a gap of 4 weeks at least.
It sometimes happens that you do not get the desired response when you’re featured. This can happen due to various reasons, such as an incomplete profile, poor quality pictures or low Trust Score (unverified details). However, you should not worry because you will get Featured again after a minimum time interval is 4 weeks.

What should I do if I do not get ‘Featured’?
A previously ‘Featured Profile’ usually gets repeated after a gap of 4 weeks. Members get featured on the basis of our algorithm which gives preference to the most desired and active members.
It is recommended that you should visit the website frequently to browse through all ‘Featured Profiles’ and SafeChat with any profile you like. You can do this without revealing your contact details. If the other member replies to your message, you can take it further. You can exchange contact details once you’re convinced about the other member.

How to search matches

How should I search my matches on ‘Marry in a Week’?
There is no search function available on the website. Instead, all members get ‘Featured’ on the platform/website on a regular basis. Every day, dozens of ‘Profiles’ get featured in each and every category. A previously featured profile can also get repeated after a gap of 4 weeks.

All ‘Featured Profiles’ become visible to all of their matches as per their partner preferences. Each ‘Featured Profile’ becomes un-featured after one week. This ensures that all those members who may find a particular ‘Featured Profile’ attractive must SafeChat with it within a week or lose it. This ensures prompt responses from the interested matches.

Why is there no search option?
‘Marry in a Week’ platform ensures that the three most important pre-requisites for any good match making are taken care of: Availability (ready and available matches for marriage), Relevance (social and economic compatibility of matches); Decisive Interest (interested responses received within a week).

We believe that if we provide a search option then we would end up diluting the above mentioned pre-requisites, thereby compromising our match making philosophy.

What is SafeChat?
SafeChat is a secure way to talk to any profile you like without revealing your contact details. You can choose to decide whether you want to share the contact details or not after you have talked to the other person on SafeChat.

Whom can I SafeChat with?
You can SafeChat with any profile you like from your Featured Matches or More Profiles. If another member wants to connect with you s/he will invite you by sending a message on SafeChat. If you like that profile you can reply with Yes and if you don’t, you can reply with a No.

Why does an invitation expire in one week?
Every invitation has a weekly expiry from the day of receipt to ensure that all users respond to the matches that they like within a week. This feature almost guarantees that all those who are relevant, available and interested in each other have responded and are in the process of getting connected. This swiftness of action brings remarkable efficiency to our matrimonial match making process.

Can I cancel an invite?
No. A message sent once on SafeChat cannot be cancelled. You may choose not to share contact details if you don’t like the other member.

Why is there no response to my invitations sometimes?
Finding a matrimonial match is a complex process. Often for many inexplicable reasons people do not like each other even though they may seem perfectly matched or even compatible in every respect. Everyone needs to find only one perfect match, and for this they may have to sift through a whole lot of prospects.
Clearly, it can be a time-consuming process. So please be patient and continue to SafeChat with profiles you like. Also, you must ensure that your own ‘Profile’ is not only complete in all respects but also appears diverse and interesting. It should also have a high Trust Score in order to get better quantity and quality of responses.

Why am I not able to send a message using SafeChat?
It could be due to following reasons:

  1. Your mandatory details are still not complete
  2. Your mobile number is still unverified

Can I message a profile I like?
You can send a message using SafeChat to any profile you like.
Once you receive a Yes as a reply, it becomes a Connected Match. You can send unlimited messages to a Connected Match.
To avoid spam, maximum 3 messages can be sent without receiving a reply.

How does a ‘Request’ work?
Our platform allows you to request for more information from a ’Profile’, either before or after sending your ‘Express Interest’. You can seek any information that is either missing or appears incomplete pertaining to work & education, family details, personal preferences, etc. This feature gives you a great opportunity to communicate with a potential match before arriving at any decision about whether or not you would like to pursue further.

What is a ‘Trust Score’?
A ‘Trust Score’ is a number indicating genuineness and reliability of a ‘Profile’. The higher the ‘Trust Score’ the better is its credibility quotient..

A ‘Trust Score’ takes into consideration the following things:

  • Profile completion
  • Photo identification
